Who Can Bet on PariPesa
Betting is restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their own country if that’s higher, and who accept the Betting Rules by placing a bet. A handful of other categories are excluded regardless of age: anyone who directly participates in the event being bet on (players, coaches, referees, club owners or management, or anyone acting on their behalf), employees or representatives of other bookmakers, and anyone barred from entering into a betting contract under the law that applies to them. If any of these categories applies to an account, PariPesa can refuse to pay winnings, refund stakes instead, or cancel the bets outright — and this can happen at any point once the situation becomes known, not only at the time the bet was placed.
Beyond those specific exclusions, the bookmaker also reserves the right to refuse a bet from anyone, without needing to give a reason, and to decline bets from customers who don’t follow social standards of conduct or public order.
How Bets Are Accepted, Settled and Paid
Every bet is settled using data from the processing centre rather than any other source, and it’s considered won only if every selection on the slip is correctly predicted. Odds, handicaps, totals and stake limits can change after a bet is placed, but that doesn’t affect the terms that applied at the moment the bet itself went through — it’s on the customer to check current markets before placing anything new.
Payouts follow a specific timeline: winning bet slips can be paid within 60 calendar days of the event date shown on the slip, and during that window, withdrawals can be made in equal parts rather than all at once. Anyone who disagrees with how a bet was settled needs to raise it quickly — standard claims have to be filed within 10 days, giving the account number, date, event, stake, selection, odds and the reason for disagreement, while claims about Cyber-Live games specifically are only accepted within 72 hours of the game ending.
Void Bets and Settlement Errors
Certain situations lead to a bet being voided or settled at odds of 1 (effectively a refund) rather than paid out as originally priced:
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| Bet placed on an outcome already known at the time | Settled at odds of 1 |
| Staff error (misprint, mismatched odds) or a bet accepted in violation of the rules | Bet declared void, refunded at odds of 1 |
| Suspected unsportsmanlike conduct in a match | Bets can be blocked pending an official ruling, then voided at odds of 1 if confirmed |
| Clearly erroneous odds published by mistake | Settled using the correct odds actually applicable to that market |
| Technical failure or unfinished stream on an eSports Live event | Refunded only if the event doesn’t happen or isn’t settled by the bookmaker |
A dropped connection while a bet confirmation is being received doesn’t cancel the bet on its own, and no complaint about how a team name, player surname or venue was transliterated will be considered — tournament titles are provided for convenience only, and a mistake there doesn’t justify a refund.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Disagreements over payouts, results, odds or other material terms of a bet go through a pre-trial complaint procedure before anything else. A written complaint has to be served to the other party — to PariPesa’s registered office if the customer is complaining, or to the customer’s place of residence if it’s the other way around — within 10 days of becoming aware, or reasonably should have become aware, of the issue, with supporting documents attached. A complaint without sufficient grounds is returned without being examined.
| Deadline | Applies to |
|---|---|
| 10 days | Standard claims about winnings, settlement or results |
| 72 hours | Bet calculation claims for Cyber-Live games specifically |
| 10 days | Filing a written pre-trial complaint after becoming aware of a rights violation |
| Up to 72 hours | Identity/document verification once submitted |
If a complaint isn’t dealt with in time, the party who raised it can take the matter to court — with the proper venue being a court in the country where the bookmaker’s registered office is located, rather than the customer’s own country.
Account Rules: Registration, Verification and Closure
Each customer is limited to one account, and only one account is allowed per family, address, email address, IP address, card, e-wallet or electronic payment method — anyone associated with an existing account holder in these ways isn’t permitted to register separately. PariPesa can request identity documents or a video call to confirm who’s behind an account, with results from a video verification typically available within 5 working days.
An account left inactive for 3 months gets automatically blocked; unblocking it means emailing the Security Service at [email protected]. Re-registering under a new identity after being blocked or closed isn’t permitted, and if it’s discovered — including through altered or false documents — any bets from that account can be voided and the account itself blocked while the situation is investigated. A currency change is possible only in exceptional cases: it requires emailing [email protected] with the subject “CHANGE OF CURRENCY” along with a photo of the passport’s main page, and a 10% fee applies to the amount being converted.
An account can be closed immediately, with any bets voided, in situations like: the customer knew the result of an event before betting on it, they were in a position to influence the outcome themselves, bets were placed by a coordinated group to get around betting limits, the same person held multiple accounts, automated betting software was suspected, or restrictions were circumvented through other unfair means. Balances are refunded after the investigation concludes, minus any profit generated unfairly, and PariPesa isn’t obligated to reimburse payment-processing fees charged during a deposit or withdrawal.
Liability, Rule Changes and Responsible Gambling
PariPesa isn’t liable for indirect or incidental losses, including lost profit, even where it was aware such losses could occur. Rules can be updated at any time, with changes taking effect immediately once published — bets already placed before an update stay governed by the rules that applied when they were made, not the new version. Account holders are responsible for keeping login details confidential and for anything done through their own account, including by a third party they’ve given access to.
Responsible gambling tools — including self-exclusion for a week, a month, six months or a year — and the full list of countries where registration isn’t permitted are covered in detail on the responsible gaming page, along with guidance for recognising the signs of a developing gambling problem. These account and betting rules apply the same way for every player, regardless of whether the account was opened directly or through paripesa za.
